AMD's products for entry-level mainstream DIY users include Ryzen 3 or the second-generation Ryzen APU i.e. the Ryzen 3 3200G or Ryzen 5 3400G. Of course, the even cheaper APUs, including the Athlon 200GE/220GE/240GE, are even more popular. Popular hardware leaker APISAK freshly leaked an AMD 3400GE processor on twitter. It seems to belong to the Ryzen APU camp. The internal GPU has a frequency of 1300 MHz. However, the "E" suffix is ??generally representative of the energy-saving version in the AMD product line. For example, the Ryzen 5 2600E and the Ryzen 7 2700E are both 45W products. From this point of view, the 3400GE is much like an energy-saving version of the AMD APU. The second generation of Ryzen APU was released in this year's E3 exhibition, in which Ryzen 5 3400G was showcased as 4 cores and 8 threads (12nm Zen+). The base frequency for that CPU is 3.7GHz. It accelerates up to 4.2 GHz and has a built-in Vega 11 graphics card (up to 1400MHz). It supports DDR4 -2933 memory. The TDP for this processor is 65W. But it comes with a 95W Wraith Spire radiator cooler. The advanced features include brazing heat dissipation, PBO automatic overclocking etc. The suggested retail price for this CPU is $149 and it will be available on July 7. As for the total amount of power reduction, the TDP of the 3400GE is expected to be 35~45W. This makes it a really power efficient APU. So guys what do you think?
