A few days ago on July 17th, a digital blogger on Weibo claimed to have “acquired a model of the iPhone 15 series” and shared a series of images.
The blogger stated that the size and appearance of the iPhone 15 series will be almost identical to that of the iPhone 14 series, but the borders will be slimmer.
In addition, the whole iPhone 15 series will use the USB Type-C interface. The long-rumoured solid-state mute button will be exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro line, while the standard model will continue to use the mute slider utilized by the previous version.
In the comment section of the Weibo post, another renowned digital blogger requested a “close-up” of the black border. From the photos shared by the first user in response, it can be seen that the frame of the device has changed significantly and is now narrower.
Earlier, we reported that, according to Haitong International Technology Research analyst Jeff Pu’s estimation, Apple will commence mass production of the iPhone 15 series in August 2023.
It is expected that the company will ship 84 million units in the latter half of the year, an increase from last year. Apple’s iPhone 14 series grew by 12%, indicating the company’s confidence in market demand.
Nevertheless, Jeff Pu cautioned that the price of the iPhone 15 Pro Max could be higher than the USD 1,099 starting price of the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
In contrast to last year, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is predicted to have some exclusive features rather than being identical to the 6.1-inch Pro model (excluding the screen size).
According to a recent memo from Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives, Apple’s newest iPhone 15 series will feature substantial enhancements that result in breakthrough improvements.
He predicted that the upgrade would be so significant that it could attract 250 million people, including iOS users who have not upgraded their devices in the past four years. Ives also mentioned that the iPhone 15 series would feature a new design, expanded battery capacity, and optimized camera quality.
Furthermore, Apple would significantly improve the Health application on the iPhone 15 series by employing artificial intelligence to enhance the collection of heart rate, breathing, and sleep data.
