How much storage is enough for a smartphone? In recent years, mobile phone memory has rapidly increased from 16GB, 32GB, 64GB to 128GB standard size. And now some flagship smartphones also support 1TB storage. This is enough to see that ever-increasing internal storage is a major trend in future mobile phones.
In fact, 128GB is the standard configuration of most flagship mobile phones. As the demand of users continues to increase, mobile phones with 64G memory will gradually be abandoned.
According to GSMArena, the 2019 iPhone may be equipped with 128GB of starting memory, and 64GB will be history, including on the cost-effective iPhone 11R. At present, the top version of the 2018 iPhone is equipped with up to 512 GB of memory. Does the increase in the base storage mean that the top version of the iPhone 11 will have 1 TB of storage space?
In fact for the 2018 iPhone, the iPhone XS started with 64 GB of RAM. There was no 128 GB option and it jumped directly to 256 GB variant. It’s not hard to see Apple going for a completely different approach this time around. As 64 GB is obviously not enough. Therefore, many users chose the relatively higher-priced 256 GB version. This was a bit uneconomical and unnecessary move.
If Apple starts their new iPhones with a 128 GB base version and doesn’t really overprice them then it would be a great proposition for users. But till the time September doesn’t arrive take all of these rumours with a pinch of salt as nothing is really confirmed as of now!
