This achievement was made possible with the help of the ROG Maximus Z890 Apex motherboard and advanced cooling techniques.

Overclocking Achievement Details

ASUS’s internal overclocking team, led by Elmor, achieved this overclocking feat using liquid nitrogen (LN2) cooling. They managed to push the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K to a staggering frequency of 7488.8MHz.

It’s worth noting that this CPU’s standard frequency is recognized at up to 5.7GHz, making the 7.5GHz milestone a remarkable achievement.

Record-Breaking Performance

After reaching this unprecedented clock speed, the team carried out a series of benchmark tests, successfully breaking 19 global records and ranking first in 31 benchmark categories.

Notable achievements include securing the top spots in 3DMark’s CPU Profile 1T, 2T, 4T, and 8T, as well as achieving a record-breaking score of 60,840 AI-Enhanced Liquid Nitrogen Container Design

ASUS highlighted that the liquid nitrogen container used for the overclocking was designed with generative AI assistance by another overclocking expert, Diabatix, who is also part of the team.

The AI-based design helped optimize the cooling process, improving efficiency and stability during the extreme overclocking operation.

The innovative container design was brought to life using 3D Systems’ advanced 3D printing technology, delivering results that exceeded expectations.

Memory Overclocking Feat

In addition to the CPU overclock, team member BenchMarc successfully pushed the DDR5 memory to an impressive 12066MT/s, further demonstrating the system’s performance capabilities under extreme conditions.
