Flying Drummers, flagship devices and people who can inspire you. ASUS ZenFestival, which was recently held at Delhi by the Taiwanese company ASUS to interact with Indian Audience had everything. ASUS’ team was in India to simply understand what Indian market actually needs out of their devices and what kind of technologies would click with them. The event saw a huge gathering of bloggers and techies and it was like an early Christmas for them where ASUS was the Santa. A Santa with a bag full of goodies like latest Smartphones and new tablets being launched for the very first time. The event was held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, India on 6th of August where ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih announced the pricing and availability of ZenFone 2 Deluxe, ZenFone 2 Laser, ZenFone Selfie, ASUS ZenPad 7.0 and ASUS ZenPad 8.0 for users in India.

Here’s a sneak peek into the devices launched at the ASUS Zenfestival :
ZenFone 2 Deluxe:
Zenfone 2 Deluxe is all about beauty and performance packed into one. With a new multifaceted polygonal finish accentuating the signature ZenFone 2 Ergonomic Arc design and 2.3GHz 64-bit Intel® Atom™ processor with 4GB RAM and 4G/LTE connectivity, ZenFone 2 was the most awaited phone which was being looked out for by many. And not just beauty and power, Zenfone 2 comes with additional features like ASUS BoostMaster which charges your phone from 0-60% in just 39 minutes. Also, this device includes ZenUI, world’s first fully customizable mobile interface. You can find our initial impressions for the Zenfone 2 deluxe below!
ZenFone 2 Laser:
An octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with up to 3 GB Ram + amazing laser autofocus camera combined into one phone. Surprisingly enough it doesn’t heat much despite having the much maligned Snapdragon 615 chipset! What more could one ask out of a phone? ZenFone 2 laser claims to be the most swift and fast to use Smartphone.
No more lags in videos or poor performance and restarting your device again. And laser fast not just in performance but also in clicking pictures.
13 MP PixelMaster camera with an f/2.0 wide-aperture lens helps you to get that perfect shot in .03 seconds.
ZenFone Selfie:
So there was one phone at the event which was specifically launched for selfie obsessed generation. That device is Zenfone Selfie, which comes with an up to the mark 13 MP front facing camera and an f/2.2-aperture to get those perfect selfies. Also, the 88 degree wide lens helps you get gang selfies also, so that nobody’s picture gets pixellated.
Here’s our first impressions video review for the ASUS Zenfone Selfie.
ZenFone Max:
So there was also a surprise for people who hate to carry power banks or chargers in their bag. That surprise was Zenfone Max. And what makes Zenfone Max stand out is a long-lasting high-capacity 5000 mAh lithium-polymer battery that gives users independence of using their phones as much as they can throughout the day. Here’s our first look video for the same!
ASUS ZenPad 7.0 (Z370) and 8.0 (Z380)
The Zenfest was not just about latest phones being launched. ASUS also launched two tablet devices, ASUS ZenPad 7.0 (Z370) and 8.0 (Z380). One of the most coolest feature of these devices is customization of back covers with functional back covers. These can provide extra features and also get along very well with the flagship design of ASUS. Both the tablets have 16hrs of usage capacity and not just that, they also feature ASUS Visual Master features, ASUS Tru2Life and ASUS TruVivid. Both these features intelligently combine contrast and sharpness, that can boost dynamic range.
ASUS ZenFone 2 Deluxe, ZenFone Selfie, ZenFone Laser, Zenfone Go will be available from August, 2015 in India for online purchase through Flipkart, ASUS Exclusive stores and authorized retailers.
The above video is the first impressions video for the budget smartphone Zenfone Go. ASUS launched a variety of accessories too which can be seen in the below photograph.
We liked few of the product offerings and disliked the fact that they didn’t make one single phone with the features of all of their Zenfone line. But still overall the quality of products was good even if the event was somewhat haywire because of unexpectedly huge turnout and mess all around. All in all it was an above average, good event marred by some mismanagement and unenthusiastic non technical crowd.
