According to the news on September 19, Andrew Wilson, CEO of EA, presented the concept video titled “Imagination to Creation” at an investor conference held yesterday, showcasing the company’s vision for the future of AI in gaming.

In the video, two players utilize AI to design and build a game environment based on basic commands. They begin by defining their ideal world, quickly creating mazes and adding armed characters.
As the game evolves, they continue to expand and further develop the game environment. EA has confirmed that this concept will be incorporated into its proprietary intellectual properties.
EA envisions a future AI-powered game capable of generating maps, characters, and game modes based on players’ ideas.
After the “Imagination to Creation” concept video was released, feedback from users was mixed. Many expressed frustration and skepticism about the concept.
The video itself is pre-rendered, and EA does not yet have a functional version of the technology available for public display.

In fact, EA has been actively using AI technology in its game development. For instance, FIFA 23 includes 12 animation loops powered by AI, while EA Sports FC 24 proudly features 1,200 AI-generated animations.
