Foton Motor announced its ambitious internationalization strategy, GREEN 3030, during a globalization strategy conference held in Qingdao on September 28.
Executive Vice President of Foton Motor, outlined the company’s goal to achieve 300,000 overseas vehicle sales by 2030, with new energy vehicles making up 30% of this total.
Foton Motor, known for its production of commercial vehicles, operates across four main business areas: complete vehicles, parts, finance, and automotive aftermarket services.
The company’s product brands include Auman, Aumark, Ollin, Tuyano, and its New Energy Vehicles division.
Key Aspects of Foton’s GREEN 3030 Strategy:
- G—Growth: This signifies a comprehensive focus on product development, technology advancements, marketing innovation, the global supply chain, and workforce internationalization.
- R—Region: Highlights Foton’s commitment to deep, localized manufacturing operations to boost economic development in key areas.
- E (1st E)—EV: Emphasizes independent R&D and global collaboration in leading the new energy commercial vehicle market.
- E (2nd E)—Ecosystem: Refers to Foton’s vision for a full ecological value chain in the global automotive aftermarket.
- N—Network: Focuses on establishing a global resource chain system to enhance resource integration and complementarity.
Under this new strategic initiative, Foton aims to achieve global sales of 500,000 vehicles by 2030, with new energy vehicles accounting for 50% of the total.
Additionally, 30% of the sales will come from overseas markets, and smart vehicles will make up more than 50% of the production.
Foton’s operations will span 150 countries and regions around the world.
