According to a reputed tech publication AndroidPolice’s report, the dual card mode of Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 has been improved in the March update, and the use of dual cards can also support 5G networks.
We recently learned that Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 support dual sim mode (one physical SIM, one eSIM) and 5G network. However, in previous tests, it was found that if the user uses two SIM cards at the same time, the phone will switch to the 4G network. To connect to 5G, users need to temporarily turn off SIM cards that are not using data or enter single-card mode by disabling one SIM card.
According to reviews on Reddit, after receiving the OTA and feature push in March, users of Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 can already use the 5G network in dual sim mode.
If the user cannot use the 5G network in dual-SIM mode, you can try to disable the dual-SIM function in the settings menu and then re-enable it.
