On September 19, Insta360, the intelligent imaging brand, announced the upcoming release of a new product at 21:00 Beijing time on September 24.
The theme for the event is “Audio-visual Boundless, Communication Without Intermed,” hinting at advanced audio-visual capabilities.
The official teaser video showcases several key features, including a chip, a large microphone grid, and a large aperture lens.
While the product’s exact name hasn’t been revealed, speculation suggests that this new offering could be the much-anticipated Link 2 live camera.
Based on the teaser poster, which depicts a square screen, a circular lens resembling a digital camera, and a directional microphone, the new product seems geared toward professional live streaming.
The circular lens and directional microphone imply high functionality and professionalism, consistent with the teaser’s theme. The design bears similarities to the first-generation Insta360 Link camera, launched in 2022.
In addition to the poster, Insta360’s teaser video highlights the product’s chip, microphone design, and large aperture lens, indicating significant upgrades in image processing, audio capture, and overall image quality.
The original Insta360 Link, launched in 2022, was an AI-powered 4K webcam that featured 4K 30fps video recording, a three-axis gimbal, AI tracking, gesture control, and fast focus.
Upon its release, the Insta360 Link quickly entered Amazon’s top 3 webcam sales in North America.
As the global market for smart cameras is projected to grow significantly, with sales expected to reach $2.63 billion by 2030, Insta360’s upcoming product could further solidify its place in the live streaming and webcam market.
With North America leading the global market share, the new Link 2 live camera could come with even more advanced AI and imaging features to capture these growing segments.
