According to a new leak of a job posting as Windows 10’s latest UI update is coming closer Microsoft seems to be planning a number of new features and update to the experience of the applications. Microsoft plans to set up a new team in the Windows department to focus on improving existing Windows 10 built-in applications, such as Microsoft Photos.
One of the main responsibilities listed in the job posting is to provide “a first-class application experience that promotes entertainment and productivity on Windows.” These new pre-installed UWP apps will showcase the essence of the Windows platform and Fluent’s smooth design.
The recruited staff will also focus on developing and improving existing applications and functions for the upcoming Windows 10X operating system.
This may mean that Microsoft finally has to carry out a comprehensive reform of the existing built-in applications, hoping to make them faster and smoother. In addition, it seems that new developer tools will be launched to make an excellent application experience possible.
According to the recruitment information, the software engineer will work closely with the design team, the Windows operating system and the Surface team in order to bring these features to life!
Major UI redesign
We have heard a lot of news about the redesign of Windows 10, and this new job listing also indicates that these application improvements will come with the upcoming UI update. In another job listing, Microsoft previously announced the “comprehensive” redesign and improvement of the Windows 10 desktop, taskbar, “start” menu, and action centre.
Similarly, Microsoft also plans to create a smooth, iconic and enjoyable experience for future desktop operating systems.
We now know from multiple reports that Microsoft plans to release the Windows 10 Sun Valley UI update code-named “21H2” in the fall of 2021.
All leaked information and job postings indicate that Microsoft is finally taking Windows 10’s interface, features and applications seriously. Improvements to the smooth design of Fluent Design are also in progress. It seems that this can solve the problem of system and application design consistency.
