OnePlus 7 Pro 3X optical zoom support confirmed, telephoto samples out!

The OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro would be out soon. There’s a tremendous amount of hype around these devices. We have covered a lot about these devices and their specs too in the recent past. But recently few more concrete details related to the camera of the OnePlus 7 Pro have come out. We already know that the OnePlus 7 Pro would sport a triple camera setup. One of these sensors was expected to be an 8MP telephoto sensor. The OnePlus 7 Pro would have 3x optical zoom courtesy this sensor and would also support up to 10 times digital zoom. The f/2.4 sensor would work for zoom but would it help in portrait mode or not is something that hasn’t been clarified yet.

The other sensors on the OnePlus 7 Pro include the 48MP main sensor with OIS support and an f/1.6 aperture. The other sensor would be a 16MP wide angle sensor.

The flagship model in this sensor would be the OnePlus 7 Pro with its enhanced specs. There will be support for WARP charging, in-display fingerprint sensor and some other notable differences over the normal 7 model.

The OnePlus 7 is expected to continue the design language of the OnePlus 6T by adopting a water-drop notch screen. While the OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to support 5G networks or there might be a dedicated 5G edition for the OnePlus 7 Pro. But two models are confirmed as of now.

According to a few other recent leaks, the OnePlus 7 Pro would have a 90Hz display, popup front camera mechanism and much more!

OnePlus 7 Pro launch event details!

The device would firstly be announced at official events in New York, London and Bangalore. We would cover the OnePlus 7 event launch live from Bangalore and stay subscribed for our live blog and textual updates.

The launch event would happen simultaneously at these three venues globally. But the Chinese launch event would happen sometime later on May 16 at the Yanqi Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center in Beijing.

Few OnePlus spokespeople have been quoted recently as saying that the OnePlus 7 Pro camera would compete with products like P30 Pro.

While OnePlus devices have been great value for money devices in the recent past. None of their cameras held up against the much pricier flagships.

Is that going to change this time around? Only time will tell!
