On September 20, a new OPPO phone with the model number PKC130 surfaced on Geekbench.
This phone is believed to be the OPPO Find X8 Pro satellite communication version, based on previous network certification information.
In addition, the OPPO Find X8 (PKB110) featuring the Dimensity 9400 also appeared on Geekbench a few days ago.
Interestingly, this engineering model scored 3010 points in the single-core test at a clock speed of only 3.58 GHz, bringing its IPC performance close to that of Apple’s A18/Pro.
However, its multi-core performance was not as impressive. It is expected that the performance of the mass-produced versions, which will run above 4 GHz, will be further optimized.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4 in the OPPO Find X8 Pro is built using TSMC’s N3E process, similar to the Apple A18 Pro.
This processor features the new Oryon self-developed core, which replaces the previously used Arm CPU core and integrates the Adreno 830 GPU.
Its price is estimated to be around $240 (approximately RMB 1,697), marking a 20.68% price increase.
According to leaks from the OPPO, Find X8 is expected to be released as early as October 21, alongside other products like the OPPO Pad 3 Pro, OPPO Enco X3, OPPO Watch X in new colors, and a range of magnetic ecological accessories.
Additionally, the 2024 Snapdragon Summit will take place in Maui, Hawaii, from October 21 to October 23, where new phones featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4 processor are anticipated to debut.
@Digital Chat Station has also shared that the vivo X200 series, OPPO Find X8 series, Xiaomi 15 series, OnePlus 13, iQOO 13, realme GT7 Pro, and Redmi K80 series are all expected to launch between October and November.
Meanwhile, the Honor Magic7 series and Huawei’s latest phones are scheduled for a November release, so stay tuned for more updates.
