Snapdeal changes for the better, not just design

Earlier this month we covered how Snapdeal had revamped their website and it became a better looking website with more focus on UI/UX and consumer shopping experience. Truth be told I was never a Snapdeal fan myself. In my five years of being online not even once did I buy anything from Snapdeal. Even that lucrative Mac Mini deal which was lowest priced on Snadpeal was something I let pass because I simply couldn’t bring myself to trust this website. We covered a lot about Snapdeal from an unbiased point of view since few years and this time around after seeing their website redesign I just went with the flow and tried booking a product for a change. Somehow I was in for a surprise as the new Snapdeal changes to their site seems to have upped their game and the overall shopping experience has been dynamically changed!

Snapdeal Changes: What did I buy and what happened?

I bought a Lenovo Tab 2 A710 tablet which is only available online on Snapdeal. Many of the products launched by Karbonn mobiles and few others are also Snapdeal exclusive and this I got to know during the course of my hot headed product buying research in the past few days!

So my search in Google for the Lenovo Tab 2 A710 directly led me to the Snapdeal product page. (First link it was, good work there folks!) Then I saw that the price of this tablet which earlier was 6000+ is now below 5k INR, this was another welcome move as Snapdeal is amongst few websites which focus on really good offerings for their customers. The overall buying process was really easy. The product page was simple enough to navigate through.

Then from this page forth it was really as easy as clicking on buy now and filling my relevant details, you can login through Facebook/Google plus too and apart from that there is a 100% money back guarantee and 7 day return policy on Snapdeal! The delivery itself took only 2 days to arrive.

Also there is an upcoming news of MX5 the flagship product of Chinese smartphone company Meizu being launched by Snapdeal soon enough. Apart from this Snapdeal has raised another fresh round of investments valued at $500 million and now after this the company itself is being valued at $4.8 billion. Alibaba, Foxconn, Softbank Group and existing investors Myriad, Temasek, Premji Invest and BlackRock also participated in this round. This also adds to overall credibility of Snapdeal as this makes it sure that this company not going anywhere any time soon!

You can have a glimpse of the new Snapdeal website in the below screenshots:

So this was our own personal experience, do you use Snapdeal? If you get time then do visit the site and let us know what do you think about this recent improved experience. Do you find it better than before, would you buy a product from them or not and all that sort of stuff!
