On August 26, it was reported that the highly anticipated Xbox version of the domestic 3A title “Black Myth: Wukong” had encountered a significant delay due to technical issues. The game has already seen immense commercial success on the PC and PS5 platforms, with sales surpassing 10 million copies.
However, Xbox players have been left waiting, as the game’s release on their platform has been postponed.
According to gaming blogger eXtas1s, who shared details from his interactions with developers and “Xbox insiders” during Gamescom, the delay is attributed to a severe “memory leak” problem in the Xbox version of the game.
This issue reportedly causes frequent crashes, leading the development team to focus on optimizing the game before release. As a result, the launch date for the Xbox version has been “postponed indefinitely.”
Despite these challenges, the Xbox version of “Black Myth: Wukong” is said to be “close to completion.” Once the memory leak issue is resolved, a new release date is expected to be announced.
While this information has not been officially confirmed, the source has a history of accurately predicting multiple Xbox Game Pass titles, lending some credibility to the report.
