The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has taken the smartphone world by storm by offering unprecedented value for money. This smartphone gets almost everything right at a very constrained price budget. Right now we are using this smartphone since a week (2 GB RAM variant) and we found out that it’s a great phone for the price. Though a detailed review will come up later but let’s just talk about the specifications and price of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 in detail today.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3: Under the Hood
The Redmi Note 3 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset which is a hexa core chipset with Two ARM cortex A72 cores clocked in at 1.8 Ghz and four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked in at 1.4 Ghz. This makes for a great hexa core setup and Xiaomi had claimed that this architecture is way faster than last year’s Snapdragon 808 which was used in Moto X Style and the Nexus 5x smartphones. It has an Adreno 510 GPU and the overall performance is definitely better atleast on paper when compared to all previous smartphones running the Snapdragon 6xx chipsets.
The phone is a dual sim phone but one of the sim’s is a hybrid slot and allows for expansion of memory upto 128 GB. A separate sim slot would have been much better.
The device comes with MIUI 7 out of the box but the custom ROM is still based on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 and not Android Marshmallow, though Xiaomi officials claim that an update is coming soon.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 comes with a 16 MP primary and a 5 MP secondary camera. Though initial hands on experience with the device was good but reports coming in from various sources claim that the Redmi Note 3’s camera performs sluggishly in low light scenarios. But we still have to test the camera in detail in order to come at any logical conclusion.
It has a 4050 mAh battery which is in itself a very huge capacity and many people have claimed that it lasted them more than 1.5 days easily even on heavy usage!
It comes in 2 GB RAM (16 GB storage) and 3 GB RAM (32 GB storage) variants.
